Nature Strollers

The mission of the Nature Strollers is to support parents and grandparents in their role as primary interpreters of nature for their families; to provide opportunities for families to enjoy unstructured time outdoors; to familiarize families with local trails, refuges, sanctuaries and preserves; and to develop networks among families with a common interest in nature.

Goosepond Mountain Created Wetlands, 10 January 2009

The wetlands are a lot of fun... even in the dead of winter!

Though the path was pretty icy, we walked slowly and carefully along. The girls had fun sweeping the snow off the boardwalk railings and walking onto the frozen ponds. We got great views of a Muskrat house that is usually invisible to our little ones, and we ended our walk with more snow sweeping. It felt great to get out.
